Quand il fait froid, Petite Noire aime se réchauffer les pattes sur la boîte  Internet.

When it is cold, Little Black loves to warm up her paws on the Internet box.

Visite de 後慈湖 (partie arrière de TziHu, Taoyuan, Taïwan)

 

Aujourd'hui, on a visité   後慈湖 à Taoyuan, qui veut dire "partie arrière" de 慈湖 TziHu. Réservation et guide obligatoires.  

慈湖 est surtout connu pour abriter le mausolée de Chiang Kai Shek.  

Le site était une ancienne base militaire. La partie arrière a été ouverte au public en 2009 seulement.

Today, we visited 後慈湖 in Taoyuan, which means "back area" of 慈湖 TziHu.

Reservation and guide are mandatory.

慈湖 is mostly known for the mausoleum of Chiang Kai Shek. 

It was a military base before and the back area was opened to public only in 2009.

Un bus nous amènera au Point 1. De là, une boucle de 4km  se terminant au mausolée de Chiang Kai Shek, CKS comme l'aéroport international de Taïwan. Il faut compter 2 heures et demie. Et on doit suivre le groupe et le guide.

A shuttle  will bring us to Point 1, where we start a loop of 4km, ending at the mausoleum of Chiang Kai Shek, as in CKS international airport. About 2.5 hours in total. And we must follow the group and the guide.

Un  groupe de motards avec leurs grosses cylindrées s'est donné rendez-vous ici, comme souvent  les jours fériés.

A group of big cylinder motorcycles was gathering here, as often on holidays.

On suit la route goudronnée et on arrive au Point 2, l'entrée officielle Sud de  後慈湖.

On contrôle les billets et on compte les têtes.

We follow the paved road and come to Point 2, the official South entrance of 後慈湖. Control of tickets and headcount.

Point 3: au bord du lac, où  CKS se promenait avec sa femme Sung MeiLing.

De là, visite d'une série de petites casernes reconverties en expos de nos jours.

Là, on voit le lit et habits de Sung MeiLing.

From here, we visit a series of outposts re-converted into exposition galleries.

Après les expos, on va vers la sortie (Point 5).

La route  devient plus agréable car  plus dans la nature maintenant.

After the expos, we head to the exit (Point 5).

The trail becomes more pleasant because amid nature now.

Le mausolée de CKS, avec changement des gardes toutes les heures, je crois.

Avant, on pouvait y entrer, comme en 2004, avec les parents.

Le culte de CKS a été aboli par le gouvernement actuel du DPP, et les très nombreuses statues qui peuplaient écoles ou offices gouvernementaux  ont été démenagées vers ce jardin de TziHu.

Endroit assez spécial.

The cult of CKS was abolished by the current gouvernment of DPP, and the many statues found in schools or gouvernment offices, have been moved to this garden in TziHu.

Quite special place.

Balade aux environs de 虎山 (Taïwan)

 

Aujourd'hui, premier jour de 2023, on a été se promener aux environs de 虎山, dans la province de Miaoli.

Très belle vue le long de  la route.

Today, first day of 2023, we went to the area of 虎山, in Miaoli county.

Very nice view along the road.

虎山 (montagne du Tigre), c'est le sommet de 1492m au fond, qu'on a grimpé avant.

Aujourd'hui, on se contentera du pont à suspension.

虎山 (Tiger peak) is the 1492m high summit in the background. We climbed it before.

But today, just a stroll at the suspension bridge.

La région est réputée pour ses sources thermales. 

Pas besoin de se ruer sur le Japon pour admirer les feuillages dorés typiques d'automne-hiver.

The area is famous for its hot springs.

Actually, no need to go to Japan for a typical autumn-winter scenery of golden leaves.

Pour finir, un  en-cas de tofus frits délicieux avec soupe aux pousses de bambou.

Les tofus de ce resto  ont la particularité d'être noirs!

Then, a snack of delicious fried "stinky" tofus  with a bamboo shoot soup.

Trademark of the tofus of this restaurant are they are black!

Quartier de Hsinyi à Taipei (Taïwan)

 

Ces derniers temps, on est à Taipei, dans le quartier de Hsinyi (信義區).

Les maisons de devant ont plus de 40 ans et valent 7000 euros / m2. Un peu délirant mais c'est dû aux beaux quartiers de derrière.

These days, we are in Taipei, in the district of Hsinyi (信義區).

Houses on the foreground are more than 40 years old, yet they are worth 7000 euros / m2. A little crazy, but that is because of the hype neighborhoods of the background.

En effet, on traverse  une avenue et on passe des vieux immeubles, petits restos, marchés... aux gratte-ciels (ex: tour 101), sièges sociaux des grandes boîtes, grands magasins, immeubles de luxe... Sacré contraste!

Indeed, we just cross an avenue and pass from the old buildings with their small restaurants, food markets... to the skycrapers, (ex: 101 tower), company headquarters, department stores, luxurious buildings... What a contrast!

Voici un    immeuble très particulier, en forme de spirale, construit par  l'architecte Belge Vincent Callebault.

This is a very particular building, like a spiral, built by Belgian architect Vincent Callebault.

Petits chats immigrés de Jordanie

 

La soeur de Cliff a bossé 2 ans en Jordanie et a ramené ses 2 petits chats de là-bas à Taïwan.

On dirait notre Mimi d'avant.

Pas question de les laisser là-bas, vu comme ils sont mignons!

Cliff's sister worked 2 years in Jordan and brought back her 2 little cats to Taiwan.

Looks like our Mimi.

Out of question to leave them there, since they are so cute!

Celui-là a été trouvé dans les rues.

On dirait notre Kiki d'avant.

Contrairement aux apparences, c'est lui le plus sage et affectueux.

Ouf! Enfin il a beaucoup plu dernièrement! En causant au passage quelques innondations, à Taipei par exemple.

Yes! Finally it rained a lot recently! Even with some flood damages, in Taipei for example.
