Place des Vosges (Paris, France)
J'aime beaucoup la Place des Vosges pour l'unité architecturale des bâtiments du 17ème siècle qui l'entourent: briques rouges, ardoises bleue-grises. On y va souvent quand on revient à Paris. Le jour, la place est fréquentée par les nannies qui sortent les petits gosses jouer au bac à sable, et quelques touristes, comme nous...
La Place No 6 abrite le petit Musée Victor Hugo, car il y a habité pendant 16 ans.
I like strolling at the beautiful Place des Vosges when I am in Paris. This 17th century square is not well-known by the tourists. It is surrounded by red bricks / bluish-grey slate tile buildings, in a rare architectural unity. Building #6 is the small Museum of French writer Victor Hugo (雨果 / 悲慘世界, 鐘樓怪人), because he lived there for 16 years.
