Lijiang (麗江 Yunnan, Chine)

Lijiang est un passage obligatoire avant d'aller à Lugu. C'est la capitale des Naxis, peuple originaire aussi du Tibet. La vieille ville, héritage mondial Unesco, a 800 ans. Les touristes (beaucoup d'Occidentaux) abondent matin et soir.

Lijiang is the capital of the Naxi people (also from Tibet) and a must-stop before heading to Lugu. Its 800 year-old town is a Unesco world heritage. It is swarming with tourists day and night, many of them Western.

J'aime bien habiter dans la vieille ville, dans ses maisons typiques avec un patio. Très spécial.
Habiter là peut être une horreur cacophonique de pubs et restos le soir, mais on peut alors apprécier le charme des ruelles pavées et canaux pour soi au petit matin calme, sans les touristes!

I like staying in the old town hotels, in these typical houses with a patio. It is a terrible cacophony of pubs and restaurants at night, but we can then enjoy the charm of the deserted paved lanes and canals in the early morning, before the tourist invasion!
