Visite au Musée du Louvre (Paris, France)

Mercredi dernier était pluvieux à Paris, alors on décide d'aller au Louvre.

Last Wednesday was rainy in Paris, so we decide to go to the Louvre museum.

On arrive à l'Arc de Triomphe du Louvre, construit par Napoléon en 1809.
La Tour Eiffel est au fond à droite.

We come to the Arch of Triumph of the Louvre, built by Napoleon in 1809.
To the right is the Eiffel Tower.

Le Musée du Louvre est juste en face. On y entre par la pyramide au milieu.

The Louvre Museum is just across the street. Access is under the glass pyramid in the center.

Du monde bien sûr.

Many people of course.

On suit la foule et on arrive tout naturellement en face de la Mona Lisa!
Quand j'étais écolière, le tableau était bien plus accessible.

We just follow the crowd and of course come to the Mona Lisa!
It was much easier to approach the painting in my school days.

Pareil pour la Vénus de Milo.

Same for the Venus of Milo.

Bon, on va voir autre chose, comme les antiquités Egyptiennes.
Ces cerceuils ont des yeux si expressifs, regardant droit dans l'objectif.
Combien de gens ont-ils vu défiler au cours de ces milliers d'années?

OK, let's go somewhere less touristic, like the Egyptian Antics.
The eyes of these coffins are so expressive, looking right into the camera.
How many people have they seen through the thousand years?

La momie du Louvre, quelques 300 ans avant JC.

Le très célèbre Scribe assis, 2500 ans avant JC.
Pareil, yeux très expressifs.

Same, these very expressive eyes.
