Lieu: Temple de Matsu à SuAu, Taïwan (蘇澳南天宮)Aujourd'hui, on a été a SuAu, un port très connu de la côte Est. On a dégusté du requin fumé, du mahi-mahi en soupe, entre autres.
Comme beaucoup de ports, on y trouve un temple dédié à Matsu 媽祖, la déesse de la Mer, protectrice des marins et pêcheurs, et tout autres qui croient en elle! Celui de SuAu a une statue en or, en jade, etc...
Un grand pèlerinage très folklorique mais très sérieux de Matsu est organisé chaque année à travers Taïwan, ou même jusqu'en Chine. Ses fidèles transportent sa statue à pied pour visiter ses temples et apporter sa bénédiction à tous.
We went to SuAu today, a fishing port on the East Coast, and had some fumed shark meat and mahi-mahi soup.
Like many ports, SuAu has a temple dedicated to Matsu, the goddess of the Sea, protector of the fishermen and sailors, as well as all her other believers. This temple boasts big statues in gold, and jade.
Matsu has many many worshippers, who organize a big tour in Taiwan or even across the strait to China, each year. They carry her statue to visit temples and bring her blessing to all.
