Mongolie 5ème jour: Statue géante de Genghis Khan et Parc national de Terelj

 

Aujourd'hui, on va voir la plus grande statue au monde de Genghis Khan, 50 mètres en tout.

65km d'UB.

Today, we visit the tallest statue of Genghis Khan in the world, 50 meters in total.

Le monument est tout à la gloire de GK. Ici, toute sa filiation, qui n'aura cependant duré que deux siècles.

The monument is all about GK, here with all his descendants.

His empire however only lasted two centuries.

Tout se doit d'être immense.  Ici, une botte en cuir qui aura necessité une centaine de vaches.

Everything here has to be XXXL size.  Here, a leather boot which needed a hundred cows in the making.

On peut monter sur la statue, sur la tête du cheval plus précisément.

We can go up to the top of the statue, on the horse head.

Après, en route pour le Parc National de Terelj dans le coin, à 1600m d'altitude, un petit plus haut que UB 1450m.

Then, going to the nearby National Park of Terelj, at 1600nm high, a little higher than UB 1450m.

Le parc est très touristique.  Les habitants d'UB y viennent volontiers le week-end.

The park is very touristic. A popular week-end trip for the people of UB.
