A part la version chantée par Aaron Neville, j'aime bien aussi cette version de l'Ave Maria de Schubert (1825) par Andrea Bocelli. Cet aria magnifique a un effet apaisant magique, mais ce n'est pas à écouter tous les jours.


Besides the version sung by Aaron Neville, I also like this Ave Maria of Schubert (1825) by Andrea Bocelli. This beautiful aria has a magical soothing effect, but is definitively not my everyday music.

Chanson "10000 miles" du film "Fly away home"

Bon, puisque je suis dans les chansons de film, j'aime beaucoup aussi "10000 miles" par Mary Chapin Carpenter à la fin du film "Fly away home". C'est l'histoire vraie d'une petite fille qui emmène ses oies en migration du Canada aux USA. Les paysages Canadiens sont magnifiques.

Another movie soundtrack song that I like much is "10000 miles" by Mary Chapin Carpenter, at the end of the movie "Fly away home". It is the true story of a little girl who leads her Canadian geese migrating from Canada to the US. Awesome story and beautiful song.

L'Ave Maria de Schubert, dans le film Alive (1993)

Ce soir, ils ont repassé le film "Alive" à la télé. C'est l'histoire vraie de la survie de l'équipe de rugby d'Uruguay pendant 72 jours dans les Andes, après leur accident d'avion. Les montagnes sont très belles bien que cruelles, mais surtout, j'aime beaucoup la fin du film avec l'Ave Maria de Schubert chanté par Aaron Neville. Magnifique.

Tonight, the film "Alive" was aired on TV again. It is the true story of the survival of the rubgy team of Uruguay during 72 days in the Andes, after their plane crash. The mountains are beautiful although cruel, but most of all, I love the end of the movie with the Ave Maria by Schubert, sung by Aaron Neville. Beautiful.

Herbes sauvages en fleurs (陽明山連峰, 七星山 1120m, Taïwan)

L'automne est la saison de floraison de l'herbe sauvage Miscanthus. Les collines et bords de rivière se couvrent comme d'une grande moquette blanche dont les long poils plissent au gré du vent d'automne.                               

Autumn is the floral season of the wild grass Miscanthus (芒草). The hills and river banks get dressed in a white tufted carpet which long piles bend following the wind.

Auvergne sur Taïwan? (陽明山連峰, 擎天崗, Taïwan)

Le parc national de Yang Ming Shan est très prisé des citadins de Taipei, donc pas assez originel à mon goût, malgré des jolies prairies et collines (avec vaches!) qui font penser à l'Auvergne d'ailleurs. Après tout, ce sont toutes les deux des régions de volcans éteints. Par endroits, on peut encore voir (et sentir) des fumées de soufre.

The National Park of Yang Ming Shan is a very popular leisure site for Taipei city guys, thus too man-made. I hated the slippery rock stairs for example... Still, there are nice meadows and hills (with cows!) which remind of French Auvergne. Not surprising maybe since both are extinct volcano regions. We can still find (and smell) sulfur fumes at some locations in Yang Ming Shan.

Taipei au petit matin (陽明山連峰, Taïwan)

Hier, on a été faire une rando au parc national de Yang Ming Shan (陽明山), dans la partie nord de Taipei.
Le centre-ville vers 6 heures du matin prend des colorations dorées.

Yesterday, we did a hike at the National Park of Yang Ming Shan, in northern Taipei. This is downtown Taipei around 6AM, with a golden glow.

Puisque je mets des photos de Mimi de Taïwan, je devrais aussi mettre une de Kiki de France. On voit tout de suite qui est la sportive intrépide et qui est la casanière timide!
Mais un chat est toujours un chat, et toutes les deux deviennent aussi dingues quand elles jouent.


Since I blog about Mimi of Taiwan, I should also talk about Kiki of France, my previous cat. One can easily guess which one is the fearless athlete and which one is the shy stay-at-home! But a cat is nonetheless a cat, and both of them go really crazy when they play.
