La forêt de Célie (Emerainville, France)

Il faisait beau Vendredi dernier, on est allé faire du vélo à la forêt de Célie tout près.
C'est parti.

Last Friday was a beautiful sunny day, we went cycling at the forest of Célie nearby.
And off we go.

10 minutes après, on arrive à l'entrée dit du chemin des vaches.
Peu de monde hors week-end.

10 minutes later, we come to the entrance of the "path of the cows".
Not many people on working days.

La forêt a beaucoup de bouleaux comme ici, et des chênes.

The forest has many birch trees like here, or oaks.

On peut suivre les pistes cyclables de graviers de la forêt, très bien entretenues.

We can get around the forest on the gravel cycling paths, very well maintained.

Ou suivre les chemins de terre.
Bien plus marrant mais il vaut mieux avoir un bon VTT et affronter la gadoue.

Or go the other dirt roads.
More fun but the mountain bike had better be good + be ready for some mud.

La forêt n'est pas très grande en fait (1km2) mais de quoi nous occuper pour 2 heures de balade bucolique très agréable!

The forest is not so big actually (1km2), but enough to keep us busy for 2 hours of a very nice pastoral drive!

Visite au Musée du Louvre (Paris, France)

Mercredi dernier était pluvieux à Paris, alors on décide d'aller au Louvre.

Last Wednesday was rainy in Paris, so we decide to go to the Louvre museum.

On arrive à l'Arc de Triomphe du Louvre, construit par Napoléon en 1809.
La Tour Eiffel est au fond à droite.

We come to the Arch of Triumph of the Louvre, built by Napoleon in 1809.
To the right is the Eiffel Tower.

Le Musée du Louvre est juste en face. On y entre par la pyramide au milieu.

The Louvre Museum is just across the street. Access is under the glass pyramid in the center.

Du monde bien sûr.

On suit la foule et on arrive tout naturellement en face de la Mona Lisa!
Quand j'étais écolière, le tableau était bien plus accessible.

We just follow the crowd and of course come to the Mona Lisa!
It was much easier to approach the painting in my school days.

Pareil pour la Vénus de Milo.

Same for the Venus of Milo.

Bon, on va voir autre chose, comme les antiquités Egyptiennes.
Ces cerceuils ont des yeux si expressifs, regardant droit dans l'objectif.
Combien de gens ont-ils vu défiler au cours de ces milliers d'années?

OK, let's go somewhere less touristic, like the Egyptian Antics.
The eyes of these coffins are so expressive, looking right into the camera.

La momie du Louvre, quelques 300 ans avant JC.

The mummy of the Louvre, about 300 years BC.

Le très célèbre Scribe assis, 2500 ans avant JC.
Pareil, yeux très expressifs.

Same, these very expressive eyes.

Et 4 petits chats d'un autre temps!

And 4 little cats from another era!

Le temps des cerises / 採櫻桃 (France)

Cette année, on est rentrés en France en Juin, juste à temps pour les cerises.

This year, we go back to France in June, just in time to pick the cherries.

Elles commencent juste à devenir rouges.

Cherries are just getting ripe for harvest.

Parfois, il faut employer les grands moyens pour les cueillir.

Getting some of them requires special tools and skills.

Tout ça, sous l'oeil attentif de Picchiu, la chatte des voisins, qui nous aide à chasser (en vain) les oiseaux picoreurs.

All this being monitored by Picchiu, the neighbours' cat, who helps us scare the cherry-loving birds (in vain).

Picchiu vient nous voir dès le petit matin.

Picchiu comes to visit us as soon as in the early morning.

Elle passe ensuite sa journée dans notre jardin et retourne chez elle le soir.
On ne s'en plaint pas car elle est si adorable.

She then spends her day in our garden and goes home in the evening.
She is so welcome, being so adorable.

Pour tuer le temps, Picchiu joue volontiers au mini-cricket avec 5jin, mais à sa façon.

To kill time, Picchiu would play mini-cricket with 5jin, but in her own way.
