Heureusement, notre tente a tenu le coup.

Rando de 大小劍, 3ème jour: la très éprouvante 小劍山 3253m, Taïwan)

4AM: on est parti tôt du camp pour le plus difficile sommet de cette rando, 小劍山 3253m.

4AM: we left the camp early for the most difficult summit of this hike, 小劍山 3253m.

6:30AM: 佳陽山 3314m est en vue.

La route est longue avec une bonne dizaine de dénivelés fatigants mais la forêt est très belle.

The trail is long with a good dozen tiring ups and downs but the forest is beautiful.

Et cette vue de 大小劍 prise en 2010 au centre agricole de 福壽山農場 montre bien pourquoi il faut bien 12 heures pour faire l'aller-retour de droite à gauche!

And this overview of 大小劍 taken in 2010 at the farming center of 福壽山農場 gives a good idea of why 12 hrs are well needed round-trip from right to left!

Rando de 大小劍, 2ème jour: 油婆蘭山 3308m et 大劍山 3594m, Taïwan)

6AM: on se lève!

This is the beautiful peak of 佳陽山 3314m that we are going to climb on the 3rd day.

Mais d'abord, il faut grimper encore 500m jusqu'à 油婆蘭山 3308m, notre camp de ce soir.

But first, we have to further climb 500m to 油婆蘭山 3308m, our camp of tonight.

We are holding a sword (left by other hikers) because this mountain name in Chinese is the mountain of the great sword.

Rando de 大小劍: 1er jour, grimper 1200m jusqu'à 推論山 2801m (Taïwan)

On revient de la rando de 大小劍 en 4 jours: très belle mais difficile.

We just came back from the hike of 大小劍 in 4 days: beautiful hike but difficult.

Jour de farniente à San Diego et La Jolla (USA)

Un petit peu de tourisme le dernier jour d'un voyage professionnel à San Diego, en attendant l'avion du soir.
Ici, c'est bien sûr mer et plages partout. De quoi être de bonne humeur en allant au boulot!

Some sightseeing on the last day of a business trip to San Diego.
Here, it is sea and beach everywhere. Good mood booster when going to work!

On arrive à La Jolla, une petite ville touristique, 10km au nord de San Diego.

We come to La Jolla, a little touristic town, 10km north of San Diego.

Les plages sont peuplées d'oiseaux, de phoques se prélassant au soleil.

Beaches are populated with birds, sea lions sunbathing.

Certains n'ont même pas peur de l'homme.

Some of them are not even afraid of human beings.

On a même vu une baleine! La photo est nulle, je sais.

We even spotted a humpback whale! Sorry for the lousy picture.

Tout le monde veut le caresser et prendre une photo, à la grande joie de ses maîtres apparemment.

Everybody wants to pet him and take a picture, to the delight of his masters apparently.

On quitte La Jolla pour le centre-ville de San Diego, l'île del Coronado plus précisément.

On y arrive par le pont del Coronado.

We leave La Jolla for downtown San Diego, to the island of Coronado more specifically. We get there by the bridge of Coronado.

Pareil, plages de sable blanc à perte de vue.

Same, white sand beaches stretching all the way. 

L'eau est trop froide encore, les gens se baladent ou pique-niquent.

Water is too cold yet, People just stroll or picnic. 

Voici l'hôtel del Coronado, construction en bois datant de 1880 paraît-il.

Here we come to the hotel del Coronado, a wooden construction dating back to 1880.

Un peu kitsh à mon goût, mais bon.

Des vieilles photos à l'intérieur nous rappellent l'histoire de l'hôtel.

Dernière étape, le vieux centre-ville de San Diego.

Last visit stop, the old historic park of San Diego.

Rien de vieux en fait. Les anciennes habitations ont toutes été retapées en restos (Mexicains) et magasins, sur fond de cactus et tonneaux de bois.

Nothing old actually. The old houses have all been restored into Mexican food restaurants and shops, with cactus and wood barrels here and there. 

Même l'église est flambante neuve!
Pas très intéressant mais OK pour tuer le temps avant d'aller à l'aéroport.

Even the church looks brand new.
Not so interesting but OK to kill time before heading to the airport.
