Bière Taïwanaise (宜蘭麥田現釀啤酒, Taïwan)

Chiaoshi et son sentier de la Vierge Marie, sa belle église et statues Catholiques, c'est très bien tout ça, mais les sources thermales et bières après la rando, c'est bien mieux!
Cette bière fraîche au blé de fabrication locale est simplement délicieuse, au parfum fruité, et se digère très bien pour une fois.
A boire de préférence après un bon bain aux sources thermales!


Chiaoshi and its Marian trail, Catholic church and statues... all this is very nice, but the hot springs and fresh beers after the hike are even better!
This locally brewed fresh wheat beer (宜蘭麥田現釀小麥啤酒) is simply delicious! Fruity and smoothly digested, unlike canned or bottled beers.
Best if drunk just after a hot spring bath!

Rando et cadeaux!

Ce matin, dans le froid et sous la pluie, on a été faire une petite rando avec notre club de montagne (新竹市山岳會), qui nous a aussi invités en tant que "participants assidûs" à leur repas annuel des guides.

Il y avait aussi une petite loterie et on est repartis avec le 1er et 5ème prix! Très bonne surprise, non?

This morning, in the rain and cold, we did a hike with our mountain club (新竹市山岳會), then joined the guides' annual party, invited as "(very) frequent participants". There was a small lottery and we got the 1st & 5th prizes! Another fun side of mountain hiking!

Le renard et l'enfant (狐狸與我)

Très bonne surprise de revoir ce film magnifique "Le renard et l'enfant" aujourd'hui à la télé! Je l'avais vu 2-3 fois sur le vol Taipei-Paris avant.
La petite fille apprend avec la renarde la différence entre "aimer et posséder", le tout au milieu des superbes paysages et couleurs dorées de la forêt.
La fin du film se termine sur la très belle chanson "Après la pluie" par Alice Lewis.


Very nice surprise to see this awesome French movie "The fox and the child" again on the TV channel 公視 today. I saw it 2-3 times before on the flight Taipei-Paris.
The little girl, through her friendship with the fox, came to understand the difference between "to love and to possess", all this amid the beautiful scenery and golden colours of the forest.

Maison Japonaise en bois (虎尾故事館, Taïwan)

Les Japs ont occupé Taïwan entre 1895 et 1945, en laissant des traces encore visibles. Cette maison Japonaise par exemple à Huwei (虎尾故事館) a 90 ans et typiquement, est en bois, avec des portes coulissantes, tatamis, et poupées en chiffon porte-bonheur pendues ça et là. Bizarre comme coutume.

The Japanese ruled Taiwan between 1895 and 1945, with still visible signs. An example is this 90 years-old Japanese house in Huwei (虎尾故事館), typically in wood, with sliding doors, tatamis, and "good weather / good fortune" handkerchief dolls hanging here and there. Strange custom.

Eglise Notre Dame d'Auvers sur Oise (France)



Eglise d'Auvers - Van Gogh - 1890

Je vois ce tableau de Van Gogh pratiquement tous les jours au bureau, en allant en réunion. Voici l'église originale: Notre Dame d'Auvers sur Oise (13ème siècle). Pas mal mais connue surtout grâce à Van Gogh! Le chevet était malheureusement en restauration lorsqu'on y a été avec Stéphane et Sophie.

I pass by this Van Gogh painting almost every day at the office when going to meeting. The original model is Notre Dame church of Auvers sur Oise (13th century). Nice monument but famous only because of Van Gogh!
Unfortunately, the side of the church as shown on the painting was being repaired when we visited it with Stéphane and Sophie.
