Rando à 合歡山天巒池 (Taïwan)

Ce week-end, on a été à 合歡山天巒池.
Il a fait super beau et on a aussi assisté à une course de vélos, très en vogue ici.

This week-end, we went to 合歡山天巒池.
The weather was beautiful and there was a bicycle race. 
Very popular here. 

Retour aux choses sérieuses!
1PM: on commence la rando.
On fait souvent cette route mais cette fois, on va aller voir l'étang de montagne 天巒池.

Back to business!
1PM: at the trailhead.
We often hike this trail except this time, we are going to visit the mountain pond of 天巒池.

Hélas, le beau temps aura été de courte durée, comme c'est souvent le cas l'après-midi en haute montagne!

Unfortunately, the weather quickly turns foggy, as it often happens in the afternoon in the high mountains.

A 0.9K, on quitte la piste principale et on descend vers le site de campement dit "du petit ruisseau" (小溪營地), 2km plus bas.
Le temps est devenu carrément pluvieux tout d'un coup!

At 0.9K, we leave the main trail and descend towards the camping site of the "little river" (小溪營地), 2km farther.
The weather suddenly turned rainy!

Tiens, on voit derrière nous le panneau de télécommunication radar qui se trouve sur la route vers 合歡北峰.

Behind us, we can see the radar telecommunication panel which is on the trail to 合歡北峰.

3PM: on arrive au campement de 小溪營地 (3200m), dans le brouillard total!

3PM: we reach the camp of 小溪營地 (3200m), in total fog!

Cela va être une nuit humide et froide. Quelle galère!

It is going to be a humid and cold night. What a misery!

Heureusement, au lendemain matin, il fait beau!

Fortunately, the sun shows up again the next morning!

8:30AM: on quitte le camp.
Les prairies verdoyantes de bambous sont magnifiques.

8:30AM: we pack and leave the camp.
The green bamboo meadows are beautiful.

Un dernier coup d'oeil sur le camp.
C'est la chaîne de montagnes Chilai au fond dans les nuages (奇萊山).

A last view of the camp site.
The mountain chain in the cloudy background is the famous Chilai peak (奇萊山).

Ici, on voit le centre agricole de Fushou et la chaîne ouest de la Montagne de la Neige (雪山西陵).

Here, we can see the farming center of Fushou (福壽山農場) and the west ridge of Snow Mountain (雪山西陵).

Après les prairies, c'est une longue descente en se faufilant dans les bambous.
Nos grands sacs à dos coincent parfois.

After the meadows, we start a long descent edging ourselves between bamboos.
Sometimes, our big backpacks get stuck in the way.

10:50AM: on arrive à 天巒池, un grand étang vers 2900m d'altitude.
Rien de spécial en fait.

Nothing special actually.

On va aussi visiter le sommet du coin, à 20min.

We also go to the summit nearby, 20min away.

Allez, on continue la descente, avant qu'il ne pleuve.

We continue descending quickly, to avoid the afternoon rain.

1PM: on arrive à une plantation de pommiers et la rando est finie!

1PM: we reach an apple farm and end of this hike.

La cueillette toutefois est dans 2 mois.
C'est étonnant, Taïwan a un climat tropical mais on peut aussi y cultiver des pommes en montagne.

But 2 more months to go before harvest.
Taiwan weather is tropical but they can still grow apples in the mountains.

Lumière matinale à 加里山 2220m (Taïwan)

On va souvent faire 加里山 2220m, mais c'est rare de voir une si belle lumière comme ce matin vers 8 heures!

We often go hike 加里山 2220m but we seldom see such a beautiful light like this morning 8AM!
