Rando 畢祿羊頭縱走 3371m 3035m (Sep 2009, Taïwan)

Cette rando reliant les 2 sommets de 畢祿山 3371m à 羊頭山 3035m fait 14 heures non-stop. Très fatigant!
On part au petit matin.

This hike from the two peaks of 畢祿山 3371m to 羊頭山 3035m takes 14 hrs non-stop. Exhausting!
We start in the early morning.

800m à grimper.

1er sommet: 畢祿山!

Superbe vue sur la chaîne 北二段 et les sommets 南湖中央尖 tout au fond.

Voici la ligne de 鋸齒連峰 reliant les 2 sommets. Beaucoup de "petites dents" à franchir.

2ème sommet: ou la la, on est bien crevés!

Mais encore 1000m à descendre. Ça n'en finissait pas. La rando a pris 14 heures en tout. Très belle rando mais je ne la re-ferai pas de sitôt!

But still 1000m to descend. Seems never ending. The hike took 14hrs in total. Very nice hike but I won't do it again so soon!

Oiseaux migrateurs du lagon de Qigu (台南七股潟湖, Taïwan)

Ce week-end, on est allé au lagon de Qigu 七股潟湖, à Tainan.
Malheureusement, le beau temps n'était pas au rendez-vous.
Chaque année, les oiseaux migrateurs viennent à Taïwan passer l'hiver, dans les mangroves.
A la réserve de Qigu, on ne peut pas s'approcher d'eux, seulement les voir grâce aux jumelles à la disposition des visiteurs.

This week-end, we went to the lagoon of Qigu 七股潟湖 in Tainan.
Unfortunately, the weather was not so good.
Each year, migratory birds fly to Taiwan to spend winter in the wetlands.
At the Qigu reserve, we cannot approach them, but see them with binoculars, complimentary for visitors.

Et voici la vedette: la spatule à face noire 黑面琵鷺!
C'est une espèce en danger vu qu'il n'en reste que 2000+ au monde. Il y en avait une centaine à la réserve.
Ils viennent  à Taïwan de Septembre à Mars, pour retourner en Corée au printemps.

And here is the star: black face spoonbill 黑面琵鷺!
It is an endangered species as there are only 2000+ left now worldwide. There were a few hundreds at the reserve.
They come to Taiwan from September to March, then fly back to Korea in spring.

Après, c'est la balade en bateau sur le lagon!

Then, we go visit the lagoon by boat!

Le lagon n'est pas profond par endroits. Les filets servent à attraper les poissons entre les marées.

The lagoon is not deep at some locations. The nets are used to catch fish between the tides.

Voici les cormorans, oiseaux migrateurs aussi, apparemment blasés de voir passer les visiteurs humains!

Here are the comorants 鸕鶿, also migratory birds, apparently used to seeing human visitors every day!

Le lagon abrite aussi un large élevage d'huîtres.

The lagoon is also home to a large farming of oysters.

Huîtres qu'on peut manger à volonté à la fin de la balade! Très fraîches.
Le tout (une heure et demie en bateau + huîtres) pour seulement 280NT$, ou 7 euros!

Oysters that we can eat as many as we want at the end of the cruise. Very fresh.
All this (1.5 hr cruise + oysters) for only 280 NT$, or 7 euros!

Et pour finir, on va voir la mer à Sicao 四草. Des surfeurs profitent du temps doux et des (quelques) vagues.

And to end the visit, we go to the sea at Sicao 四草. Surfers are enjoying the warm temperature and the (few) waves.

Rando 八大秀 (Mai 2009, Taïwan)

On a fait cette belle rando de 4 jours 八大秀 en Mai 2009. Départ de TungPu 東埔.

We did this scenic hike of 八大秀 in 4 days in May 2009. Departure from TungPu 東埔.

1er jour: 14km à faire! Long mais pas difficile, sans grande pente.

Day 1: need to hike 14km! Long, but not difficult. No steep slope.

Gîte pour le 1er soir: 觀高山屋.

Lodge for the first night: 觀高山屋.

2ème jour: 10km à faire!
1er stop: les belles prairies de Patungkuan 八通關. La piste n'est pas toujours bonne.
 
Day 2: 10km to go. 
First, heading to the beautiful grasslands of Patungkuan 八通關. Trail is in rather bad shape sometimes.

De là, on peut aussi aller à la Montagne de jade 玉山 3952m.

3ème jour au petit matin: en route pour le sommet de 秀姑巒山 3805m.

On part maintenant pour l'autre sommet 大水窟山 3642m. Paysage typique d'arbres morts blanchis.

L'équipe au grand complet au chalet de 中央金礦山屋, où on a passé le 3ème soir.
Près de 20km à parcourir aujourd'hui! Heureusement, la majorité en descente.
