Expo Chagall au Musée du Luxembourg (Paris, France)

En ce jour ensoleillé mais très froid, on va se promener au Quartier Latin à Paris.
Notre Dame a 850 ans et s'orne d'une plate-forme juste devant.

On this sunny but very cold day, we go for a stroll in the Paris Latin Quarter.
To celebrate the 850 years of Notre Dame cathedral, a platform has been built.

Ses couleurs blanche et bleue se marient fort bien avec le ciel bleu Parisien.

Its white and blue colours match the blue sky of Paris very well.

Beaucoup de touristes déjà en Avril!

Many tourists already in April!

Après, on va se balader au Jardin du Luxembourg, où le Sénat organise une expo de photos en plein air pour la 100ème du Tour de France. Très sympa.

Then, we go to the park of Luxembourg, where the Senate is organizing a photo exhibit for the 100th Tour of France (bicycle competition).
Very nice exhibit.

Les feuilles n'ont toujours pas poussé, on se croirait encore en hiver!

Trees still don't have new leaves, feels like in winter!

Comme toujours, quand il fait beau au Luco, les gens accaparent les chaises pour se prélasser au soleil.

Like always when it is sunny, people occupy the chairs for a sun tan in the park.

On va tout au fond vers le Musée du Luxembourg.
Les gens se baladent, font du jogging, ou jouent aux échecs.

We go to the end of the park to the Museum of Luxembourg.
People have a walk, jog, or play chess.

Notre destination: l'expo Chagall (11 euros).

Pas mal du tout!
Quelques tableaux preférés: "Songe d'une nuit d'été", avec les ingrédients habituels de Chagall, ie, bestiaire, mariée, hommes volants... et bien sûr, superbes couleurs.

Very nice exhibit!
Some favourite paintings: "Summer night dream", with the usual Chagall ingredients, such as, animals, bride, flying men, and of course, the beautiful colours.

Cet ensemble est bien moins insouciant et a été paint durant son exil aux USA.
Toujours ces superbes couleurs.

This group is much more pessimist and was painted during his exile in the US.
Still these beautiful colours.
