Jordanie-Israël 6ème jour: Jaffa et Haifa (Israël)

Aujourd'hui, on commence à monter au Nord.
1er stop: Jaffa, au bord de la Méditerranée.
Les immeubles au fond, c'est Tel-Aviv, la 2ème ville d'Israël. Mais rien de spécial.

Today, we start heading North.
1st stop: Jaffa, on the Mediterranean Sea.
The high buildings are from Tel-Aviv, the 2nd city of Israel. But nothing special of interest.

Jaffa est un très vieux port mais il n'en reste pas grand chose.
Maintenant, on dirait plutôt une station balnéaire.
Ici, l'Eglise Saint-Peter.

Jaffa is a very old harbour but with no significant archaeological remains.
Now, it is more like a beach resort.
Here, the Saint-Peter church.

J'imagine bien les gens de la cité venir faire du bateau ici le week-end.

I can so imagine the city people heading here for boating on week-ends.

Il y a une ambiance relax, comme le montre si bien monsieur le chat.

The ambience is very relaxed, as Mr Cat illustrates it so well.

A midi, on va manger dans un resto Libanais.

At noon, we have lunch at a Lebanese restaurant.

Encore des pains Arabes (pita)!
On tartine ça avec du hummus (purée de pois chiches) et on ajoute le reste.
C'est bon, mais on ne mange que ça tous les jours!

Again Arab breads (pita)!
We spread them with hummus (chickpea spread) and we add the rest.
They are good but we are having them everyday!

On continue vers le Nord et on arrive à Haifa l'après-midi.
C'est la 3ème ville d'Israël et est construite sur les flancs du Mont Carmel.
La vue de la baie est magnifique!

We continue to the North and reach Haifa in the afternoon.
It is the third city of Israel, built on the slopes of Mount Carmel.
The view of the bay is beautiful!
