Rando 火炎山 602m (Taïwan)

 

Aujourd'hui, on a été grimper  火炎山,  dans la province de Miaoli.

On l'a déjà fait en Nov 2018.

Today, we hiked the summit of 火炎山 in Miaoli county.

We climbed it before in Nov 2018.

8AM: c'est parti.

Le sol est très sec, car il n'a guère plu récemment.

The soil is very dry, because it did not rain much recently.

Les arbres ici sont essentiellement des  相思樹, utilisés pour faire du charbon.

Trees in this region are mainly the 相思樹, used to make charcoal.

On voit  l'autoroute   No1 continuant vers le sud.

We can see Highway No1 continuing to the south.

Il y a beaucoup de monde. 

Les gens ne peuvent pas aller à l'étranger, donc se rabattent sur les  sorties domestiques.

Many hikers today.

Unfortunately, we cannot go abroad, so people flock to domestic destinations instead.

On arrive sur la crête.

Mieux vaut ne pas trop s'approcher du bord!

Des gens sont morts ici pour avoir voulu prendre la photo parfaite Instagram.

Better not get too close to the ridge border!

People died here for wanting to get the prefect Instagram picture.

On  voit les gens derrière nous sur la crête.

We can see the people on the ridge behind us.

Il fait beau.

On peut  voir jusqu'à l'océan.

It is a beautiful clear day.

We can even see the ocean in the far.

Vue vers l'est: la  petite ville de 三義 et l'usine d'autos YuLong, pour la marque locale Luxgen.

View to the east: the small town of 三義 and the car plant Yulong (local brand Luxgen).

Vue vers l'ouest: les champs de riz bio de la petite ville de Yuanli.

View to the west: the organic rice fields of the small town of Yuanli.

Les gens aiment venir ici pour papoter et boire du thé.

Taïwan n'a pas de confinement, on a de la chance!

The place is a favourite gathering for people to chat and have tea.

Taiwan is lucky to have no confinement!

Des bénévoles ont même porté du thé chaud gratuit pour tous jusqu'au sommet.

La route de la descente est plutôt ennuyeuse. 

Pas de vues.

The trail of the descent is quite boring.

Champs de riz en automne (Taïwan)

 

L'automne est la meilleure saison à Taïwan: ni trop chaud ni trop froid, belle lumière, et pas de moustiques!

Les champs de riz sont prêts pour la 2ème récolte de l'année, comme ici à la région Bio de 軟橋 près de chez nous.

Autumn is the best season of Taiwan. 

Not too hot, not too cold, beautiful light, and no mosquitos!

Rice fields are ready for the 2nd annual harvest , like here at the organic agricultural region of 軟橋 , not far from our home.

Eclipse solaire (Taïwan)

Vers 16:10.
Voilà, c'est  le mieux de ce qu'on peut voir ici au nord. Pour l'éclipse totale, il faut aller au sud.
Et la prochaine fois, ce sera dans 195 ans...

Around 4:10PM.
This is the most we can see in the north of Taiwan. Only in the south, can we see the total eclipse.
And the next one would be in 195 years...

Petite Fleur grimpe un arbre

Qui l'eut cru?
Petite Fleur, d'habitude pas très dégourdie, a grimpé sur  l'avocatier, sous les yeux ébahis des 2 autres chattes.
Petits oiseaux, prenez garde, me voilà!

Surprise! 
Little flower, usually not so athletic, decided to climb the avocado tree, leaving the other 2 cats in disbelief.
Little birdies, here I come!

5 minutes plus tard.
Au secours, je ne sais pas descendre!

5 minutes later.
Help! I don't know how to go down!

Petite Noire pot de colle

Petite Noire  aime suivre Petite Rousse partout, et copie tout ce qu'elle fait.
Un  petit pot de colle plutôt embêtant et bryuant.

Little Black follows Little Ginger everywhere and copies what she does.
A little annoying noisy shadow.

Ou  alors, elle va voir Petite Fleur, qui a encore moins envie d'être la babysitter. Allez ouste, dégage!
Pauvre Petite Noire! Pas facile d'être une ado (hyperactive) en ces temps.

Or, she goes visit Little Flower, who is even less in baby-sitter mood. Schu Schu, back off!
Poor Little Black! Not easy to be a (hyper active) teenager these days.

小黃 小花 小黑 squattent notre lit

Il caille (10 deg), alors  nos chattes squattent notre lit.
Et nous, on dort où?
Eh oui, il y a une petite nouvelle  小黑 (Petite Noire). La photo est trompeuse, elle ne fait que 2 kilos pour 5 mois. Elle est en train d'apprendre la hiérarchie féline.

It is cold (10 deg), so our cats are invading our bed.
Never mind we don't have room to sleep then.
You can see we have a new little one 小黑 (Little Black). The picture is out of scale, she is only 2 kgs and 5 months old. Still learning the codes of feline hierarchy.

On l'a trouvée abandonnée en Novembre. Elle  avait juste 2 mois.

We found her alone in Nov. Just 2 months old.

Elle a un masque noir, donc Petite Noire...

She has a black face mask, so Little Black it is...
