Province de Henan, 2ème jour: l'ancien palais gouvernemental de Kaifeng du 11ème siècle (開封府)

On va aujourd'hui à Kaifeng, une ancienne capitale historique.
Ici, c'est le palais gouvernemental de la dynastie Sung du nord du 11ème siècle.
Une reconstruction en fait car les bâtiments historiques ont presque tous été détruits au fil des guerres.

Today, we visit the ancient capital of Kaifeng.
Here is the government palace of the Northern Song dynasty of the 11th century.
It is a reconstruction actually as most of ancient structures were destroyed by years of wars unfortunately.

On trouve souvent ces chous décoratifs dans cette région sèche et froide, même le long des avenues.
On se croirait dans un potager par endroits.

We often find these decorative cabbages fit for the dry and cold weather, even on big avenues.
The city looks like a big vegetable garden at places.

Le personnage le plus célèbre de cet endroit est le juge 包青天 (debout avec un visage noir), connu pour ses décisions sévères et justes. C'est même un personnage de série télé ici.

The most famous person of the palace is Judge 包青天 (standing, with a black face), known for his tough and rightful rulings.He is even a TV show character here.

Le juge exerçait dans ce tribunal et les condamnés ont leur tête tranchée sur les socles des animaux (chien, tigre, dragon) devant.

The judge ruled in this office and the found guilty are beheaded on the animals (dog, tiger, dragon) in front.

Le palais était aussi lieu de concours adminstratifs très sélectifs et le pauvre Cliff semble caler sur sa copie. 
A l'époque, on recrutait les gens sur leurs capacités d'écrire et lire.

En haut d'une tour, on a une vue d'ensemble du palais.
