Domaine de Marie-Antoinette (Versailles, France)

Durant notre séjour en France, on a été comme souvent se balader au Château de Versailles.
Que de touristes!
Heureusement, on va pouvoir éviter tout ce monde vu qu'on va au Domaine de Marie-Antoinette derrière.

During our stay in Paris, as often, we went for a stroll at the Castle of Versailles.
So many tourists!
Fortunately, we will be able to avoid the crowd as we go to the Domain of Marie-Antoinette instead, behind the Castle.

On passe par des grandes allées verdoyantes.

We pass along large alleys of green trees.

Des gens se promènent même à cheval.

Some people are even riding horses.

Et 10-15min plus tard, on arrive au Domaine.

And 10-15min later, here we come to the Domain.

On aime bien y aller pour la très belle verdure, surtout au printemps.
Le Domaine est gratuit, sauf si on veut visiter le Hameau de la Reine et l'intérieur des Trianons (10 euros).

We like to go there for the beautiful green scenery, especially in spring.
The Domain is free except if one wishes to visit the Hameau of the Queen and go inside the Trianon palaces (10 euros).

On commence par le Petit Trianon, construit au 18ème siècle pour la Reine Marie-Antoinette.

We start the visit with the Petit Trianon, built in the 18th century for Queen Marie-Antoinette.

On se dirige vers le Hameau de la Reine.

We go to the Hameau of the Queen.

Le Hameau est le refuge privé de Marie-Antoinette à Versailles, une espèce de ferme avec maisons campagnardes et animaux.

The Hameau is Marie-Antoinette's private refuge in Versailles, a kind of farm with rustic houses and animals.

Ensuite, on va au Grand Trianon, au marbre rose, construit au 17ème siècle par Louis XIV.

We then go to the Grand Trianon, built in pink marble in the 18th century by Louis XIV.
