Hokkaido 4ème jour: zoo de Asahiyama (Japon)

Au petit matin, on va se promener au village du coin.

In the early morning, we go see the village nearby.

On trouve des sacs de sable en libre service un peu partout à Hokkaido.
A ne pas confondre avec une poubelle, comme dit la pancarte.

Free service bags of sand can be found everywhere in Hokkaido.
But not a garbage box, as the sign says.

C'est beau, non? Et si propre.

Beautiful, isn't it? And so clean.

Les flèches rouges et blanches indiquent le bord des routes.
Très utile lorsque tout est recouvert de neige!

Red and white arrows are indicating the boundary of roads.
Very useful when it is all covered by snow!

Le sommet tout au fond est le Kurodake, ou Mont Noir (1984m).
On peut y accéder par télécabine mais hélas, pas de temps aujourd'hui.

The peak in the background is the Kurodake, or Black Mount 黒岳(1984m).
We can go there by cable car but unfortunately, no time today.

Un petit temple Japonais.

A small Japanese temple.

On quitte le parc national pour le zoo de Asahiyama.

We leave the national park for the zoo of Asahiyama.

Le zoo n'est pas très grand mais on peut voir certains animaux de très près.
Les animaux vedettes sont le petit panda rouge.

The zoo is not very big but the habitats are arranged in a way that we can have a close look of the animals.
Star animals are for example the Red panda.

L'ours polaire, qu'on peut voir de près à travers une vitre.

The polar bear, which we can have a close look through a glass window.

Ou à travers la capsule au centre.

Or through the glass dome in the middle.

Le clou, c'est la promenade quotidienne des penguins!

The top attraction is the penguin daily stroll!

Deux bébés penguins avec encore leurs fourrures.

Un autre petit penguin malin traverse une passerelle.

Another small smart penguin is crossing a bridge.
