Rando à la montagne de Jade: 2ème jour, 鹿山 (玉山後峰, Taïwan)

Les choses sérieuses commencent.
5AM: on part pour le très difficile sommet de 鹿山  2981m,  où le randonneur  normal n'ira jamais  sauf si il veut accomplir les fameux 100 sommets.

Things get tough today.
5AM: we go to the very difficult summit of 鹿山 2981m, which the normal hiker will never try unless he/she wants to accomplish the famous 100 summits.

La piste est  composée de graviers, typique  à cette altitude de 3800m.

The trail is with gravels, typical at this altitude of 3800m.

On va suivre la piste pour  arriver au pied du sommet Sud.

We follow the trail till the foot of South Peak.

6AM: nous voici au croisement aux 4 directions, au pied du sommet sud.  Facile de se perdre ici.
On va à 鹿山 vers le bas.

6AM: we come to the crossroad of the 4 directions, at the foot of South Peak. Easy to get lost here.
We are going downwards to 鹿山 .

On descend de 3800m jusqu'à 3000m. Bonjour pour le retour!
鹿山  est à 3.6km plus loin.

We go down from 3800m to 3000m. The round trip up is going to be tough!
鹿山 is 3.6km farther.

On peut voir le fameux sommet principal  de la Montagne de Jade.

We can spot the famous Main peak of Jade Mountain.

8AM: on aperçoit enfin 鹿山  2981m.

9:30AM: nous voici enfin au sommet! Mon 83ème sommet. Pas de vue.
Comme je le disais, le randonneur normal ne s'aventurera jamais ici.

9:30AM: finally at 鹿山! My 83rd summit. No scenery.
Like I said, the normal hiker will never come here.

Le retour est long et crevant bien sûr....  800m de dénivelé quand même.
4PM: on  arrive enfin  au chalet!
Vraiment pas  la peine de faire ce sommet si on ne veut pas faire les 100 百岳!

Round trip is of course long and exhausting... Need to climb back 800m after all.
4PM: finally back to the cabin!
Really  don't bother to do this summit unless you want to accomplish the 100 ones!

Il y a pas mal d'animaux  à la Montagne de Jade.
Ici, une espèce de belette 黃喉貂.
Ils piquent volontiers notre nourriture la nuit si on  ne les range pas en hauteur.

Many animals can be spotted at Jade Mountain.
Here, a weasel 黃喉貂.
They gladly come steal our food if we don't store it safely above ground.

Des petits oiseaux viennent aussi volontiers .
Pas facile de ne pas influer sur leur mode de vie.

Little birds gladly come visit us too.
Difficult not to disturb their daily life.
