南一段 5ème jour: au pied de 卑南主山 (Taïwan)

7AM: Il commence à avoir des nuages aujourd'hui.

7AM: Some clouds start to show up today.

8AM: au lieu dit de la grotte rocheuse, à 25.2K.
Des Bununs habitaient ici et faisaient de la résistance contre les Japs.

8AM: at the site named the rocky grotto, at 25.2K.
Bunun people used to live here and fought the Japs.

Des arbres poussent à même la roche.
Très joli endroit.

Trees grew on the rock.
Very nice place.

Le long de la piste, on renforce les bornes métriques quand besoin est.

On the trail, some distance signs need to be repaired.

Tout au fond sur la gauche, on voit la forme pyramidale de 關山, le sommet du 2ème jour.

In the left background, we can easily recognize the pyramidal shape of 關山, the summit of the 2nd day.

Le petit cube, c'est 石山 2818m, où on ira au 7ème jour.

The small cube is 石山 2818m, where we will go on the 7th day.

2PM: on approche du campement, au pied de 卑南主山.

2PM: we come near to camp, at the foot of 卑南主山.

2:30M: ça y est. Le campement est grand, il y a une mare, mais l'eau est déguelasse. Pour cause, les nombreux daims qui viennent y boire le soir et pissent dedans...

2:30PM: here we come. Camp is roomy, there is a pond, but water smells so bad. Because of the deers who come here to drink at night and pee.
